Monica started former ROJS News (Reach Out Job Search News) April 2008, now named Independent Underground News & Talk, offering an prolific informational resource for long-term unemployed job seekers.
She was honored with a personal invite to stand beside Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-CA) for efforts to pass the Emergency Unemployment Extension Act of 2011 - HR-589.

In 2013, Monica RW briefly worked as the Communications Director for Executive Director of the Michigan Legislative Black Caucus and State House Representative Fred Durhal, Jr. (D-Detroit) former Mayoral campaign.
Monica RW has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree - concentration in Organizational Leadership, and Undergraduate degree in Business Administration. Previously, she served as Recording Secretary for the New West Willow Neighborhood Association (NWWNA) 501.c.3 non-profit and Governmental Advisory Board Member for six years.
Currently Monica RW holds as one of nine Elected Officials as Park Commissioner in Ypsilanti Township, serves as Political Advisory Committee Chairperson for the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Black Chamber of Commerce - a local branch of the Michigan Black Chamber, was recently elected Vice-President of the Eastern Washtenaw (Cty.) Democrats Organization and will serve as a Adjunct Professor of Business Education Fall of 2014.
