Also it was learned the only place children can be taught public education is at home, to have a litter full of children regardless to ones ability to afford them, children are to obey their parents at all times and the Father is the undisputed head of a household -- or any male for that matter.

Background on the Quiverfull Movement - Faith Based Religious Doctrine of the Duggar Family

Arkansas born and bred Duggar family is led by James Robert, widely known as Jim Bob Duggar. Jim Bob is a former State Legislature Official who made a run for the U.S. Senate and widely lost his campaign.

The dutiful Wife Michelle claim to fame is two-fold. First, Michelle is married to Jim Bob. Second, Michelle had many children back to back. Nineteen children to be exact.

The Duggars are devoted followers of the Quiverfull religious Movement formerly headed by an assortment of Caucasian male leaders including Bill Gothard and Douglas Phillips.

Quiverfull authors Rick and Jan Hess in the 1990 publication A Full Quiver: Family Planning and the Lordship of Christ affirmed the religion strong belief of protecting children at all costs:

"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord.' (Psa. 127:3) Do we really believe that? If children are a gift from God, let’s for the sake of argument ask ourselves what other gift or blessing from God we would reject. Money? Would we reject great wealth if God gave it? Not likely!
How about good health? Many would say that a man’s health is his most treasured possession. But children? Even children given by God? "That’s different!" some will plead! All right, is it different? God states right here in no-nonsense language that children are gifts. Do we believe His Word to be true?"
Bill Gothard former head of the Quiverfull Institute in Basic Life Principles was forced to step down in March 2014, following years of controversy. Gothard resigned after up to 34 women on Recovering Grace website wrote they were sexually harassed by the Quiverfull leader, plus four women alleged Gothard molested them.

Douglas Phillips another Quiverfull "leader" ran into issues staying faithful within the boundaries of Marriage. Former member of Phillips religious sect Lourdes Torres-Manteufel filed a lawsuit against Phillips in April 2014.

Torres-Manteufel claimed as a teenager, she was subject to nine counts of injury; including assault, battery, sexual battery, inflicting emotional distress and fraud by Phillips.

Details of the Phillips lawsuit as reported by Radar Online are as followed (Warning - The Details are Graphic):

“As described herein, Douglas Phillips used Ms. Torres — against her wishes and over her objections — as a personal sex object.
Douglas Phillips repeatedly groped, rubbed, and touched Ms. Torres’ crotch, breasts, and other areas of her body; rubbed his penis on her; masturbated on her; forced her to watch him masturbate on her; and ejaculated upon her. This perverse and offensive conduct repeatedly took place over the course of several years.”
“In July 2007 Douglas Phillips invited Ms. Torres to ‘help’ him on one of his events. That night when standing next to Ms. Torres, Douglas Phillips put his hand under her hair around the back of her neck and massaged her neck,” the document states.
“Another time Douglas Phillips sat next to her while she watched a movie with his children. While watching the movie, Phillips reached out and massaged her leg.”
The civil suit continues, “As a result of the manipulation of this movement, Ms. Torres’s thinking was altered. As described herein, Douglas Phillips — standing in a position of influence and prominence within patriarchy — methodically groomed Ms. Torres so that she would eventually participate in illicit sexual rendezvous with him promising that she could one day marry him.”
The Head of the Household - Jim Bob Duggar - Father, In-Home Church Leader, former Elected Official

In the Quiverful religious movement, males and especially male leaders of the "church" words, doctrine, teaching and ideologies are followed at all cost. Males are the true head of any household and the Women or girls place is to submit first to God - who is in the Quiverfull view Male - and any other male of authority.

Jim Bob, the Duggars' Father male figure, was also the religious leader of the families household. Making non-submission or questioning of Jim Bob's words a banned activity of the Quiverfull faith and a vain sin in the eyes of God - according to the Duggars.

Many Quiverfull families attend what is called "in-home" churches, by which the family home is a church in itself and its leader is the oldest male in the household, as described in the LaCrosse Tribute in January 2006.

"The Duggars may be swimming against society's tide with such a large family, but it's clear children – lots and lots of children – are at the core of their social network. They are members of a home church that numbers about 100. They are active in a home-schooling network. Their friends all seem to have lots of children; one family has nine, another six.
And there almost seems to have evolved an unofficial, loose-knit network of large families that home-school their children and attend in-home churches. Some even have volunteered time to help the Duggars complete their home by mid-January."
The LaCrosse-Tribute story cited how the Duggars oldest Son Josh, who completed a G.E.D. program in 2006, was strongly under consideration of applying to a California law school of distance learning priniciples.

Josh Duggar was the primary child of the Duggar's who frequently visited the Arkansas State Capitol, accompanying his Father Jim Bob, during his former term as a State Legislator from 1999-2002.

Young Josh was 10 years old when Jim Bob Duggar completed his elected duties in the Arkansas House of Representatives. During Jim Bob four year term, one of three committee assignments included serving as Vice-Chair of the Arkansas State House House Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee.

The Scandalize Tale of Josh Duggar - Jim Bob and Michelle's Oldest Male Son

According to a widely publicized police report, first reported by In-Touch Magazine on May 21, Jim Bob Duggar waited more than a year after his son, Josh, confessed to sexually molesting several female minors before contacting police.

The alleged sexual molestation incidents reported December 2006 to the
Arkansas based Springdale Police Department, accrued from at least July 2002- March 2003 according to a detailed report by Gawker
"According to the police report released by InTouch, Josh’s father Jim Bob (referred to in the report as “James”) first learned of Josh’s behavior in March 2002, when one victim approached Jim Bob and said that Josh touched her breasts and genitals while she slept.
Jim Bob appears not to have acted on the accusation. In July 2002, Josh, then 14 years old, admitted to the behavior to his father, prompting Jim Bob to “discipline” Josh but not report the incident to the authorities.
In March 2003, according to the report, Josh fondled a victim while he read a book to her. Jim Bob was made aware of this and several more accusations—victims accused Josh of touching their breasts and genitals while they slept, and sometimes while they were awake.
The police report suggests that four of Josh’s sisters were victims. In 2002, there were five sisters living in the Duggar house: Jana, then 12; Jill, 11; Jessa, 10; Jinger, 9; and Joy-Anna, 5."

What is known is Jim Bob Duggar was prominent Arkansas State Legislator, along with Vice-President of the Arkansas State House Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee.

As a leader on the primary committee facilitating laws and policies for all law enforcement departments in Arkansas, a reasonable assumption is Jim Bob Duggar not only knew about the State's Complied Law Statues as it related to Sexual Molestation but, had professional relationship with a number of law enforcement leadership officials statewide.

Although then former State Legislator Jim Bob Duggar reported his Son Josh inappropriate touching of four of his younger siblings in December 2006, the investigation was short lived.

As the initial report occurred after the Statue of Legal Limitations in Arkansas ran out, members of the Springdale Police Department were only able to interview Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, but not Son Josh.

"In December 2006, Springdale police interviewed the Duggars about Josh’s behavior. Jim Bob would not produce Josh for questioning—per InTouch, “when police asked Jim Bob to bring Josh in for an interview in 2006, he attempted to hire a lawyer and refused to produce his son for questioning. At least two lawyers refused to take his case,” according to the Gawker article.
God, Church & Molestation - Reality TV's Wake-Up Call?

The Duggars begun chronicling their lives on cable Television September 2006. Three months after in December the Duggar's reported Josh Duggar inappropriate sexual behavior with his siblings to the Springdale Police Department.

Since the investigation was stopped due to the legal statue of limitations, the Duggars continued to appear in various specials on the Discovery Channel highlighting their family and its devotion to the Quiverfull religious Movement for two years.

In September 2008, the Duggars were awarded a reality based television show airing weekly on The Learning Channel Network (TLC) named "19 Kids and Counting". TLC is owned by Discovery Communications, a publicly traded mass media entertainment network corporation headed by CEO David Zaslav.

It is unknown if officials at Discovery Communications had knowledge of the short-term sexual molestation investigation by Springdale Police Department against Josh Duggar in 2006.

What is known is that a commentator by the name of "Alice" in May 2007 on a widely visited forum site named provided scalding details of how a January 2006 airing of a Duggar appearance on Oprah Winfrey's then aired "The Oprah Show" was cancelled, after a Woman contacted the program about Josh Duggar's alleged sexual molestation of his younger Sisters.

A part of "Alice's" comment is cited below:

"In January, the whole family went to Chicago and taped Oprah Winfrey show. Oprah wined and dined them for one week. You know that had to cost some pretty pennies. As you may have noticed, that show never aired and it never will.
Oprah was informed that Josh, the oldest son, had been molesting his sisters. Yes, this is the truth. Oprah turned them over to the Arkansas State Police Child Protection Agency and the Washington County Child Protection Agency. They have been investigated to some length."
To date no media resources have cited contacting either the Arkansas State Police Child Protection Agency or the Washington County CPS inquiring if officials from "The Oprah Show" made the governmental units aware of the 2006 allegations.

However, it is typical for the Production Companies of Reality Television programming to conduct a background check on the actors or participants in a program.

"The casting of reality shows, once an intuitive, on-the-fly endeavor, has become much more of a science, with its own growing set of protocols and rituals. Several producers have hired psychologists to help them with the vetting process.

And to avoid the unscripted scandals that could run afoul of the decency standards of an increasingly agitated public and the Federal Communications Commission, both producers and networks are investing more time and money into systematically investigating their contestants' backgrounds," noted in a 2004 New York Times article by David Carr.
Reality TV Actors also regularity sign legalized contracts protecting the Legal Indemnity of the Network and Production company against any loss, damage or liability for the behavior or actions of the shows cast members.
An indemnity contract arises when one individual takes on the obligation to pay for any loss or damage that has been or might be incurred by another individual. The right to indemnity and the duty to indemnify ordinarily stem from a contractual agreement, which generally protects against liability, loss, or damage.
The just is even if Discovery Communications were made aware or had some knowledge of Josh Duggar's questionable past with his siblings, viewing public of "19 Kids and Counting", cast members of the show or others in general would have no rights to fault monetarily or otherwise against the network.

Josh Duggar as of last Friday resigned his position as Executive Director of the controversial Family Research Council (FRC) after confirming existence of the 2006 Springdale Police Report and alleged incidents.

The FRC is known for its strong stance against members of the LGBT community, legal abortion, shunning heterosexual couples divorce for any reason and against gay marriage laws existing in some States.

The real questions on the Duggar Scandal in the aftermath, remain unanswered.

Including what about the victims of Josh Duggar's sexual abuse - two of whom include Jessa and Jill Duggar - recently married on TLC's program about the family. Joy-Anna Duggar, another alleged victim still lives within the Duggar household and is a 17 year old minor.

Other younger female children remain with the Duggars. Josh Duggar and his Wife Anna have a five year old daughter, named Mackenzie, two younger sons and another daughter on the way. Anna, Josh spouse is pregnant with her fourth child at 26 years-old. The pregnancy, widely covered on "19 Kids and Counting" has been revealed, to be another girl.

TLC has ceased airing episodes of "!9 Kids and Counting" but have yet to cancel the program. The Duggars recent request to bury Josh's 2006 Springdale Police Department report was recently granted - but not before pages of the document was posted publicly on the web.

And finally, if the surfacing of what Real-ity of what life was like in the Duggar Household, Quiverfull religious Movement and more, it probably is only the tip of a melting iceberg.
