When it comes to taking pride, hard work and dedication to the core, no other Competitive Cheer Program does it better than Infinity Athletics. Starting in January 2007, Infinity Athletics is a competitive cheerleading gym, which was started by CEO and founder Erika Walker. The company has been USASF certified since the opening of the first facility located in Wixom, a city in the Southeastern region of Michigan.
‘Infinity Athletics currently has one location in Wixom, MI.’
Erika’s husband and co-owner David Walker, whom works as a full time life insurance agent for AAA, and outside of his professional career also serves in ministry as a minister of his local church of Christian Life Center, located in Ypsilanti, MI in Moeller Avenue, and also provides campus ministry for college students at Eastern Michigan University stated, ‘My wife has been involved in cheerleading over 15 years. She cheered in high school, college, and coached many cheerleaders after graduating.
“She started Infinity Athletics in Brighton, MI and in the second year moved the facility to Wixom. She started off with 26 kids and a dream. Today we are influencing over 200 kids, many of which are involved in the programs and classes regularly.’
‘The programs’ training classes are primarily based on age group and skill level. Age range extends from 3 to 18 years of age. Classes are designed for different levels to help enhance the skills of all the athletes.”
David states.
‘In the winter of 2013 we had a great opportunity to travel to Atlanta and compete at a national competition called Cheer Sport. One of our teams came in second place in their division which was a great accomplishment.”
Our mission is to teach, train and build champions. Walker stated. One thing that sets Infinity Athletics apart from other cheer leading gym is the fact that the company has a strong emphasis on teaching, training and building their athletes to be champions on and off the mat.
‘We are not your average competitive gym. We teach our cheerleaders to have character, passion, and integrity. We have several instructors for the various classes and teams, which include my wife Erika."
Each instructor teaches the athletes the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and accountability.
