According to National News reports, U.S. House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) more worried about retaining his position as Leader of the Congressional chamber than ending the U.S. Government Shutdown, running into its' second week on Tuesday.

If local news reports of Boehner's home state of Ohio mean anything to the embattled Speaker, the Congressional Representative while fretting over his leadership in one Washington, D.C. legislative chamber, risk chances at retaining his seat in Ohio's Politically aligned 'Purple' state.

Thus, feel free to review our Independent Underground News & Talk Video of the Day courtesy of Dem Rapid Response:

Speaker Boehner has not stated publicly if he would forgo his $174,000 a year salary, plus per diem expenses, while failing to call a vote on a clean Continuing Resolution, President Barack Obama (D) requested since last Tuesday, October 1st.

Citizens of Ohio and 49 U.S. states impacted by the Government Shutdown can contact Speaker Boehner office in Washington, D.C. by Phone: (202) 225-0600 and by at Fax: (202) 225-5117.
