South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy (R)
Independent Underground News & Talk - Video of the Day
Every now and then, we wish it was more of a norm than a rarely, a Republican gets it right.
In this case, the Republican was Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.). It took place during Thursday, June 6, 2013 House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing about money spend on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) employee conferences while millions of Americans struggle to place food on the table.
Rep. Gowdy could be associated with the "Tea-Party Caucus" or could say words about President Barack Obama or his administration behind that would make our mouths drop to the floor. Yet, despite if the latter is true, in this case Rep. Gowdy concern for the common working governmental employee in South Carolina making tremendously less than an IRS administrative official attending training at a conference, is the type of talk we desire to hear more often from Republicans in general.
First, back up these populist words Congressman Gowdy with legislative actions which assist ending America's "two-tier economic society" of the rich and those desiring to be rich but will never obtain this status. Second, Republicans should lead this charge instead for the most supporting policies effective ending a middle class existence.
Without further ado, listen to Rep. Trey Gowdy's Speech in the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Hearing.
