The Democratic National Convention event in Charlotte,
North Carolina this week gave President Obama
his first jump in favorably ratings since September 3rd
Post political convention bumps do exist, at least if the candidate seeking a bump is Barack Obama (D). The Democratic National Committee and President Obama received what can be preceived good news on Friday, September 7th, after disappointing nationwide job growth numbers of 8.1% and only 91,000 new employment opportunities added.

Gallup's latest data of the Presidential Candidates favorably of adults after their political party's conventions conducted from September 4th to 6th shows Obama with a 52% percent over approval rating, over August 31st -September 3rd poll sample of GOP Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney's rating at 46%.

The seven point increase over Obama's last favorably percentage of 45% in a sample poll conducted September 1st to 3rd, represents the highest approval for him in Gallup tracking poll since May 2011, just after the killing of Osama bin Laden.

President Barack Obama's polling in beating GOP
challenger Mitt Romney increased one point, over Romney's
drop of a percentage point in data taken August 31st-
September 6th
The poll also shows an uptick for President Obama on who voters prefer to win November 6th Presidential election, as Obama with a 3-point lead over Republican nominee Mitt Romney, 48 to 45%.

Gallup's polling data reflect a single percentage point for gain for President Obama and a single point down for GOP Candidate Romney, but cites the first change in Gallup's numbers in 9 days. From August 28th to September 5th Gallup has shown Obama ahead of Romney by a single percent point, 47 to 46%.

Each sample is based on interviews with roughly 1,500 adults and has a margin of sampling error of +/- 3 percent.
