A statement by CNN confirms this incident occurred in Tampa, FL at the RNC Convention by The Raw Story, and has been added to this article, below.

At the Republican National Committee Convention in Tampa on Tuesday, August 28th, an attendee allegedly threw nuts at a African-American camerawoman working for CNN and shouted “This is how we feed animals” before being removed from the convention.

Talking Point Memo reporter Kyle Leighton confirmed what Current TV Correspondent and former MSNBC Journalist David Shuster first noted in a tweet sent out at 8:35 PM EDT.

According to Talking PointsMemo, the following incidents happened after the Republican National Convention attendee said a highly disparaging remark and threw food at the CNN Camerawoman.

From the Talking Point Memo Article, August 28, 2012:
CNN official declined to confirm specific details of the incident to TPM but generally confirmed an account posted on Twitter by former MSNBC and Current anchor David Shuster: “GOP attendee ejected for throwing nuts at African American CNN camera woman + saying ‘This is how we feed animals.’”

It is not clear whether the alleged culprit was a delegate or attending the convention in some other capacity.

In a written statement, CNN addressed the matter but divulged few details: “CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon. CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment.”

TPM’s calls to RNC and convention officials were not immediately returned.
CNN to 'The Raw Story' cited that the incident described above by the Talking Points Memo reporter and David Shuster did occur, but amazingly the network has no further comments to this story.
“CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon. CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment,” the network said in a statement.

This was a shameful act on behalf of any person attending in party convention in America. Presently, it is unsure if the RNC or now Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney will address the actions of this convention attendee.
