Rainbow PUSH Michigan, NAACP President-Benton Harbor Rev. Edward Pinkney & Allies to hold press conference on Public Act #4

Press Release

– Rainbow PUSH Michigan and other allies will hold two press conferences announcing the next step in the fight to save democracy in Michigan.

The first of which will take place in Benton Harbor, Mich. followed by a press conference in Flint, Mich. that afternoon.
“The political maneuvering being used to deny the people of Michigan a chance to vote on Public Act 4 and decide the fate of emergency management is very disappointing.  This political posturing in Michigan is unprecedented," said D. Alexander Bullock.
"We followed the rules, submitted the signatures and the Michigan Court of Appeals ruled that there was no precedent for denying citizens the right to vote because of a technical difficulty.
Justice delayed is justice denied, let the people vote! We call on the Michigan Supreme Court to stand for the rule of law and with the citizens of Michigan."
Citizens from across the state will arrive by the numbers in Lansing for the Supreme Court hearing on July 25th to make sure that democracy is upheld and justice is no longer miscarried.
