(DETROIT) – Rainbow PUSH Michigan and other allies will hold two press conferences announcing the next step in the fight to save democracy in Michigan.
“The political maneuvering being used to deny the people of Michigan a chance to vote on Public Act 4 and decide the fate of emergency management is very disappointing. This political posturing in Michigan is unprecedented," said D. Alexander Bullock.
"We followed the rules, submitted the signatures and the Michigan Court of Appeals ruled that there was no precedent for denying citizens the right to vote because of a technical difficulty.
Justice delayed is justice denied, let the people vote! We call on the Michigan Supreme Court to stand for the rule of law and with the citizens of Michigan."
