STATE WIDE COALITION TO REPEAL MICHIGAN’S EMERGENCY MANAGER LAW TO HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE TODAY
Stand Up for Democracy coalition supporters gather in response to today’s decision by the Michigan Court of Appeals placing the repeal petition on the November ballot

Where: 600 W. Lafayette in downtown Detroit
Why: Today the Michigan State Court of Appeals lifted a stay on an order forcing the Michigan Secretary of State to place the repeal petition of the Emergency Manager “dictator” law on the ballot this November. For months, right-wing elements in state government have been hard at work making sure the petition to repeal the emergency manager dictator law would never make it to the ballot. Today that effort failed.
