Suspect in the Trayvon Martin case, George Zimmerman, has been arrested and placed into custody by the State of Florida April 11, 2012.
State Prosecutor Angela Corey announced at 6:03 PM EDT that her office will charge Zimmerman with the crime of murder in the 2nd Degree without premeditation. If Zimmerman is convicted of the charge of he 2nd degree murder, he can face life in prison.

Rev. Sharpton cited that the arrest of Zimmerman is just the start of seeking justice for victim Trayvon Martin and his parents who are mourning his death.
“There no victory here, there is no winner here, they have lost their son. We are still mourning with this family,” Rev. Al Sharpton stated at a press conference with the family of Trayvon Martin present. "This is not a night for celebration; it is a night that should have never happened in the first place."
