The law read as so: “This section does not prohibit a statement of a sincerely held religious belief or moral conviction of a school employee, school volunteer, pupil, or a pupil’s parents or guardian.”
The constitution reads as so: Section 41 clearly states: The Legislature shall not diminish or enlarge the civil or political rights, privileges and capacities of any person on account of his opinion or belief concerning matters of religion.
This clause in the law passed by the senate clearly violates the constitution because it does enlarge the civil and political rights of a person on account of their religious opinion or belief.
When will the bigotry and hatred of American citizens stop. It is time to stop the hate and bigotry once and for all - how many more need to die for just being who they are? We are who we are and we can not help it or do anything to change not matter what the far right evangelicals want to say or hope. This country is supposed to be about equality and freedom for ALL...where was Eric's freedom and equality? Where is ours? Stop the HATE!
