Occupy Michigan movements in Detroit and Lansing start this weekend

As Occupy Lansing and Detroit movements take fruition in upcoming days, current Lansing Mayor and former Democratic candidate for state Governor Virg Bernero, recently endorsed protests in Michigan's capital city on Saturday, October 15th starting at 10AM.

Posting on his Facebook page on Wednesday, October 12th, Mayor Bernero acknowledged the following statement:
Our political system has become increasingly corportized, privatized and profitized by the filthy rich. The unholy alliance of Washington and Wall Street have conspired against regular folks to all but obliterate the American Dream and bastardise our democracy. Thank God the people are fighting back! America must be a place of opportunity for ALL, not just the few at the top. I welcome Occupy Wall Street to Lansing, Michigan.
According to the Lansing State Journal, Mayor Bernero paid an personal visit some of the Occupy Lansing protesters on October 11th. During the visit, Mayor Bernero informed protesters that he had approved permits allowing them to stay in Reutters Park in downtown Lansing.

To date no official statement of support has been made on behalf of the Occupy Detroit movement, which moved its' date of protest activities from Friday, October 21st to October 14th, from Detroit Mayor Dave Bing or his office.

Occupy Detroit event is scheduled to start at 4PM will at march gathering at the Spirit of Detroit Statue on the corner of Woodward and Jefferson Avenues. The March is scheduled to end at Grand Circus Park, were the protesters are expected to occupy the location. 

Scheduled Speakers at the Occupy Lansing on Saturday's event include: 
1310 AM Progressive radio talk show host Tony Trupiano of the First Shift program will be the Masters of Ceremonies at the Lansing, Michigan event.

Reach Out Job Search weekly podcast program for Saturday, October 15th featuring Tony Trupiano as a featured guest, will be rescheduled to Sunday, October 30th, starting at 11:00 AM.
