The Detroit Science Center might
have to close permanently, due to
lack of funding.
"We certainly regret having to close the center for two weeks, and know that impacts a lot of families and school groups," DSC Board Member Shelly Otenbaker stated to the Detroit News.
"We certainly hope to be reopening. That said, it's premature to make any promises or predictions," she stated.A turnaround team appointed by the DSC's Board of Directors, plans to use the two weeks to develop a strategic plan to to re-open the museum. Still, its' unsure on when the DSC will re-open to normal operating hours after the two week period.
