Michigan McDonald's locations prepare to
add up to 2000 crew members and management
staff April 19th.

For many high school, college students and others, finding an employment opportunity, in the state of Michigan, has been difficult at best.

Nationally, the career path opportunities at McDonalds reported to be significant: 70 percent of restaurant managers, 50 percent of McDonalds corporate staff and 30 percent of owner operators started as restaurant crew at one point in time.

First announced on April 4th, tomorrow Michigan McDonald's locations along with other locations of the fast-food chain nationwide, will engage restaurant's one-day, 50,000-person hiring spree

Both McDonald's corporate and various franchisees are predicting they will need to bring on board more than 2,000 people in Michigan, at their 544 locations throughout the state, including 232 in southeast Michigan.

In Washtenaw County, reports that the McDonald’s 16 chains plan to hire between 53 to 72 new employees. Near the mid-Michigan area Larry Peters, whose family owns seven McDonald’s franchises in the Great Lakes Bay Region is excited to bring on new staff with the regions improving economic outlook.
“It gives us an opportunity to put it out there for everyone at once", Peter's stated to M-Live.
Peters, who opened his first franchise in 1983, said he plans to hire 25 to 30 people during the national hiring day. Other McDonald's locations in the Saginaw region are scheduled to add new employees onto their staff tomorrow. Johanne Luth, owner of six McDonald’s restaurants, said she plans to hire eight to 10 people as well on April 19th.
Open house hiring event times begin at varying times between locations. Applicants are suggested to apply online prior to attending the April 19th hiring event. Candidates who arrive at the location early can avoid expected lines to speak with hiring personnel.

The hiring will include crew and management positions, both part-time and full-time. The jobs pay an average of $8.30 an hour. Restaurant managers can make $50,000 a year, according to the company.
