New Federal U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Detroit, announce hiring process for 100 jobs

their streamlined process for parties interested
in 100 new jobs to be created at their Detroit,
Michigan location

For Michiganders seeking employment with the Federal Government, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is ramping up to hire 100 new positions over the year for a new office in Detroit, Michigan.

Announced in a press release on January 7th, the agency which is a part of the Department of Commerce is streamlining hiring information for people interested in the new job opportunities. Hiring is expected to start in this spring.
The Patent Office has created an e-mail hotline for interested applicants desiring materials regarding employment opportunities at the Detroit location.  To receive information about the hiring process, parties are encouraged to send an inquiry email to

Details on job openings, requirements and experience needed, and how to apply will be included in official hiring announcements to be released in the spring. The electronic mailbox inquiries will assist the USPTO swiftly relay the up-to-the-minute job information to members of the public.
