The GEO Group add 500 jobs to a newly build correctional facility in Baldwin, Michigan

Correctional Officers and other jobs,
totaling 500 new employment opportunities
 in total, will be added to a private
correctional facility in Baldwin, Michigan
The GEO Group has begun to advertise for job openings at a private prison, the North Lake Correctional Facility in Baldwin, Michigan. The facility will be opening this spring, Ludington Daily News reports.
"It is very exciting that job seekers can now see so many of the available job titles they can apply for,” said Michelle Herron, business services director at Michigan Works! West Central. 
“From chaplain to correctional officers, to food service managers and licensed social workers, there is a wide variety of positions available, which means greater opportunities for job seekers to obtain a good paying position in the region,” added Herron.
This contract between the private correctional institution corporation and the State of California, will add 500 new employment positions to Baldwin, Michigan.
Up to 2,580 inmates will be housed at the North Lake Correctional Facility. Hiring through the end of 2012, by the time the prison is operating at full capacity.
A list of available jobs can also be found on the company's career page and initial hiring is scheduled to being this month.
