Fox News commentator Juan Williams
believes that unemployment extension
hurt job seekers 'work ethnic' and ability
to get out of bed to find work

Fox News commentator Juan Williams, who lost his job with NPR October 21st after remarks he made on the Fox News Channel about Muslims and then complained about it in the media, stated to anchor Megyn Kelly he believe unemployment extension stop job seekers from "showing up and dressing well" for interviews.

On a December 2nd interview, on"America Live" program, Williams told Kelly that he knows of an individual who is staying on unemployment benefits, for the income provided, over returning to work.

Commentator Williams obviously opened his mouth, prior to reading the Bureau of Labor Statistics report on December 3rd, which showed that up to 17 Million long-term job seekers, a shocking 41.9 percent of current and exhausted claimants, have been unemployed for more than 27 weeks.

In addition, another 390,000 temporary workers were dismissed from employment opportunities in November 2010.

Still Williams made the statement on the Fox News program that he thinks the longer American's job seekers are out of work, they lose “work ethnic” and forget how to "get up" out of bed.

"Because employers, potential employers, will look and see that gee, they've been out forever, it doesn't make sense. And I think that's partly playing in to this cycle”, Williams stated. And at some point then it becomes a matter of you lose your work ethic, your values are impacted, you know, getting up, showing up, dressing well, all that good stuff. So I don't know that that's smart," he said.

What are your thoughts on this article? Do you think that Juan Williams is the person on Fox News to speak on unemployment, since he lost his NPR job after a racist statement on Muslims? He is trying to describe the unemployed as lazy, individuals in this video? Feel free to comment on this story, below!
