UPS and Ramp-Up Temporary Hiring For Holiday Season, Nationwide

hiring for Holiday 
Still looking for a seasonal employment? UPS and are seeking seasonal workers to add for anticipated holiday demands according to Michigan News Radio station WWJ-950.

United Parcel Service is expecting to add 50,000 additional temporary workers and the company expects to deliver up to 430 packages between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Officials at the company state that on their busiest day, December 22nd, up to 24 million pick-ups and deliveries will take place.

A look at the UPS Careers website has temporary Driver Helper openings nationwide, including in high unemployment states of Michigan, California, Nevada and New York.

UPS says it’s going to deliver 430 million packages between Thanksgiving and Christmas, so temporary employees needed to meet demand. UPS officials say they expect their busiest day should be December 22nd, when 24 million pick-ups and deliveries will be handled.

In 2009, a number of UPS temporary employees were retained, after the holiday season, based on demand and work performance., has announced that the largest online retailer, expects to hire 15,500 to help during the holidays at its shipping centers around the country. The company has up to 175 openings available, in a number of states, including Washington (State), Delaware, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia.
