As promised, Senator Debbie Stabenow brought S-3706 to the floor this afternoon. As recorded live on CSPAN at approximately 2:30 pm this afternoon, the Senator along with The Americans Want to Work Act, co-sponsor Shelton Whitehouse (D-RI) made passion-filled arguments; on why the legislation would assist up to 5 million 99ers, who have been without any supplemental income since March 2010.

As expected, a GOP lead objection from Senator George LeMeiux (R-FL) blocked the bill from moving forward, at this time. Senator Stabenow, did ask for a vote to take place, before leaving the floor to overcome the objection. As news continue to break on S-3706, this evening, we will update on the “Reach Out Job Search” blog.

Feel free to add any thoughts or ideas on how Americans Unemployed Job Seekers can overcome this obstruction, below.

Also, the One Nation Working Together rally is this weekend in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, October 2 from 12:00pm - 4:00pm. This could be a first step as a rallying call for all of the nations' 30 million  unemployed job seekers to join forces, for the American Worker?

"Reach Out Job Search" blog writer will be in attendance at the rally and update this resource, throughout the weekend.
