Michigan's "No Workers Left Behind Program", Leaving Lots of Workers Behind with Lack of New Funding

Michigan's ground breaking employment retraining program, “No Worker Left Behind” (NWLG), will start only accepting a limited amount of applicants starting July 1; the Department of Labor, Energy and Economic Growth (DELEG) announced on June 29.

The program assisted unemployed workers that have received a termination or layoff notice from their current employer. A second category of the "No Worker Left Behind" assisted employed workers with family income less than $40,000 per year.
